About Me
Well, hello and welcome to my website. I'm so happy you've decided to learn more about who I am and the work I do.

My name is Taylor Kenney and I'm currently a student at the South Dakota State University working to obtain my Master's Degree in Mass Communication. I also work full-time at Sanford Health, managing and maintaining the Good-Sam.com website.
I am a recent Summa Cum Laude USD Graduate ('18) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Marketing and Media and a Minor in Social Media Marketing.

My passion is in brand relationship building. I love adding a personal touch and voice to brands using creative web copy and design, engaging and inspiring social media content and telling powerful and moving stories through other digital platforms.
I am an extremely driven person who has taken every opportunity to obtain experience in several different specialties throughout the Marketing industry. My most recent experience comes from the Sanford Health Digital Marketing team, where I helped launch a new website and created content for Sanford Health's external brand entities and partners.
Did I mention that I also teach a digital marketing course to Juniors and Seniors at USD? I love marketing so much that I can't keep it to myself. Sharing my passion and experience in the industry with my students has been my favorite experience yet.

My additional marketing experience comes from my participation in a variety of sports entities. These include work with game-day operations through the Sioux Falls Canaries, marketing development skills through startup company The Podyum, and marketing implementation tactics from USD’s Athletic Program.

Work Experience
Digital Support Specialist - Sanford Health
August 2018-Present
May-August 2018 (Intern)

Works in conjunction with the Digital Support Team to complete over 700+ web-based tickets to maintain SanfordHealth.org. Assisted in the re-launch of Sanford's parent website, tackling webpage mappings, content creation and placement as well as trouble-shooting. Generated social media posts for Sanford's external brands and partners, including Sanford Children's Hospital, Vivaz Medical Spa and the Sioux Falls Marathon.
Graduate Teaching Assistant - University of South Dakota

Co-Instructor of Record and Sole Instructor of Record for Mass Communications courses Digital Storytelling and Graphic Communication. Responsible for creating over 80 hours of lecture material and engagingly presenting that material to over 20 students. In charge of creating quizzes, projects and exams.
Social Media Intern - University of South Dakota Athletics
August 2017 - January 2018
Creative force behind generating exciting and new content via various social media platforms, specifically Snapchat. Attended weekly Marketing meetings and contributed relevant and new ideas. Assisted in various forms of Division I Collegiate Athletics Marketing. Successfully hosted Social Media day and had over 60,000 impression in game.
Online Media Director - Kappa Alpha Theta
January - December 2017
Administrator of all online media for Kappa Alpha Theta, a Greek Sorority, at the University of South Dakota. Responsible for creating original and relevant content. Creatively executed a digital strategy that was reflective of Kappa Alpha Theta's core values. Responsible for staying in contact with stakeholders of the organization.
Media Intern - The Podyum
January - May 2017
In charge of communication with international coaches and players. Responsible for interview with one subject per week and writing a biography for publication. Given creative freedom to use software such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to create digital marketing assets such as infographics and social media posts.
